Soldier beats female doctor

A resident doctor working at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex, OAUTHC, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Dr. Theresa Ugalahi, has been hospitalised after she was beaten up by her colleague said to be a military officer. The female doctor was said to have been beaten up for obstructing the car of the military man, who works in the same hospital with her. The accused military officer (name withheld), a wing commander in the Nigerian Air Force, is a resident doctor in the Department of Community Medicine in OAUTHC and also lives with Ugalahi in the same building located outside the hospital.
Ugalahi, it was gathered, had parked her car at the premises of the hospital before the military officer, who had prepared for work, requested that she remove her car that was parked directly in front of his own. But Ugalahi urged him to allow her finish dressing before she would remove the car, which did not go down well with the military man, who kept shouting and insisting that the car should be removed immediately. A source within the hospital further explained: “Eventually, when Ugalahi came out of her apartment to remove the car, the military officer pounced on her car and rained blows on her face.
