An unknown person has raped and killed 22-year-old housewife Aisha Abdullahi in Kano State, according to police sources speaking to SaharaReporters.
The deceased, who was known to be pregnant, was found in a pool of blood when her husband returned home and discovered her body.
Police spokesman in Kano, DSP Musa Magaji Majia, confirmed the incident and stated that police were investigating the matter.
The deceased’s husband, Abdullahi Mohammed, immediately reported the scene to police when he arrived home.
The incident occurred Wednesday night while the husband is out of the house, according to Mr. Majia.
Our correspondent observed that series of condemnation and prayers have been taking place at various mosques in the State.
It will be recalled that two weeks ago two men were charged in a Kano Court for the murder of a housewife. Another case of a murdered housewife was reported in Ungogo Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano State in December of last year as well.
