Ogun state arrest three...

Three suspected fraudsters were arrested on Saturday, 2 January in Ota, Ado Odo/Ota local government area of Ogun state for defrauding one Mr Agboola of Humba village, Abuja of N5,000,000 (five million naira).
The trio are Deji and Tunde Dudu and a lady Charity Ebele.
The incident occurred between September and December 2015 at a shrine in Meesan area, Ota, Ogun state.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the police spokesman, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, dangerous weapons including a locally made gun, figurines, police camouflage cap and assorted charms were recovered from them.
The suspects, were arrested by police detectives attached to Ota Division of the command at different locations within Ota.
The police swung into action and arrested the trio after it received a complain from Agboola that the fraudsters were obtaining money under false pretence from him.
It was further gathered that the DPO of Ota Division personally supervised the investigation. He alongside his men visited the so-called shrine at Meesan area, Ota where they rounded the suspects up.
The suspects, according to the statement, were on Tuesday arraigned at the Magistrate court, Ota. They have since confessed to perpetrating the crime.
The police command disclosed that it has reliable evidence to prosecute them, adding that, “they have been charged to court with conspiracy, unlawful possession of fire arms and police uniform, obtaining money under false presence etc”.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Abdulmajid Ali has again warned criminals to steer clear of the state, warning that, “the state will be made hot for them and their agents”.
The police boss affirmed his zero tolerance for criminal activities and cultism, as anyone caught will be made to face full wrath of the law.
