Local meter manufacturers commit to FG metering initiative

The Electricity Meters Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (EMMAN), the umbrella body for local meter manufacturers, has expressed its commitment to the successful implementation of the federal government’s presidential initiative on metering scheme for Nigerians, Leadership reports.

This commitment is contained in a joint communiqué issued at the end of a strategic meeting between members of Electricity Meters Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (EMMAN) and ZIKLAGSIS Networks Limited (ZNL) held on Wednesday, March 23 in Abuja.

The communique noted that the manufacturers are confident that the metering project would bring about economic revolution and development as it would create job opportunities for the teeming unemployed Nigerians as well as enhance transfer of technology to the country.
