Again, Container Falls on Bus, Kills Three Motorcyclists, Injures Two

Barely two days after a tanker fell off the Airport Road bridge on top of two cars, a container heavily laden with goods fell off a trailer with registration number KRD526XP, and landed on a bus, killing three commercial motorcyclists and left two others with Injures.

The accident which happened at Alakija Bus Stop, opposite Satellite Town, along the Mile 2 Expressway, was caused by a container that rammed into an empty commercial bus with registration number EPE972XH.

Owing to the impact of the crash, the container was said to have fallen off and crushed three of the several commercial motorcyclists that were waiting for passengers at the ever busy bus stop.

The deceased persons have since been taken to the morgue, while the injured persons were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Confirming the incident, the General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Mr. Michael Akindele, said the agency deployed it’s heavy duty equipment to remove the fallen container off the bus.
