Tinubu’s Wife Called Me A Dog – Melaye

The senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye  yesterday opened up on the altercation that ensued between him and wife of the leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) Sen, Oluremi Tinubu at a closed door session of the senate on Wednesday.

Sen. Melaye was alleged to have molested senator Tinubu at the said session where he was said to had prevailed on the petitioners of the  forgery case of 2015 senate rule to withdraw their case or face suspension.

Addressing journalists yesterday at the National Assembly complex, Abuja shortly after plenary, embattled Melaye who admitted that he had issues with  Sen Remi Tinubu, claimed that he reacted to the action of Sen Tinubu , whom he said called him a dog and a thug .

Sen Dino , however denied ever molesting Sen Tinubu at the session, adding that when he rose to speak at the session on the forgery case on the need to reach a truce among senators , he never mentioned any body’s name , but was surprised when she got up and started reigning abuses on him.

He further stated that the issue of impeaching President Muhammadu Buhari was not discussed, as the major issue at the session was how to resolve the forgery case.

“It is my sincere pleasure to address you this morning. It wouldn’t have been necessary to address you on the subject matter am about to address you on but it has become expedient. What I’m addressing you transpired in the executive session of the senate but because of the misinformation by people of inordinate ambition out there, it has not only become expedient but it has become very, very paramount that I address you on this subject matter.

“On Tuesday, the 12th of July, we had an executive session to discuss basically on the issue of forgery case in court and when I stood up to address and I want to say that on my honour as a christian on my honour as a father and on the oath of my office as a senator of the federal Republic of Nigeria I am telling you the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.”
