Woman 'raped at gunpoint by man she met on eHarmony dating website'

A woman was allegedly raped at gunpoint by a man she met on the online dating website eHarmony, police said.
The attack reportedly took place beneath or near to the New York City Port Authority bus terminal on Monday afternoon.
Police said the woman, who lives outside of the city, arranged to travel by bus to meet the man at the bus station.
She alleges that, when she arrived, the mantold her he had a gun and forced her to leave the crowded terminal and go underground to the passageways beneath the Port Authority, CBS News reported.
Following the alleged attack, the woman is believed to have flagged down a firefighter outside the station, who alerted police.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment, CBS reported.
eHarmony told 48 Hours' Crimesider that, as of Friday afternoon, investigators had not contacted the dating company.
A statement said: "We were shocked and saddened to learn about this tragic situation and are in the process of looking into it.
"We use industry-leading technologies and a team of experts to screen potential users with the objective of keeping those with ill intent out of our ecosystem."
No arrests have yet been made.
